Hello Emmanuel-ers,
Hope you can come along on Sunday, for our All Age Service at 10.30  :-)       , where the Puppets will be in action and our theme is "Miracles".

Thought for the day:  Have you got a Flee in your ear?
"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." (1 Corinthians 10:13)
God gave us an inbuilt physical defence mechanism when danger is near. Scientists call it the 'Fight or Flight' instinct .  And He's given us the same defence strategy when it comes to spiritual danger.  The first instinct should be to run away from whatever situation or person tempts us to sin, not to see how close we can get before temptation traps us into sin. Did you know, the Bible is infested with 'flees'?  Here are just a few:  'flee from sexual immorality'; 'flee from idolatry'; 'flee from the love of money'; 'flee from the passions of youth'.  But other times, we can't run away from an unavoidable situation and it's then that we have to stand and fight.  That's when God promises us another 'flee': "Stand firm, resist the Devil and he will flee from you".
